The XB-1, also known as “Baby Boom,” is a small, one-third-scale prototype created by Boom Technology to test out ideas for a new super-fast airplane called the Overture. The XB-1 has already done some test flights, and it’s helping scientists and engineers get ready for the Overture, which is set to start flying people in 2029.

The Overture is designed to carry 64 to 80 passengers and will fly at amazing speeds, making travel times much shorter. Imagine flying across the Atlantic Ocean in less than four hours! Some major airlines, like United Airlines, American Airlines, and Japan Airlines, have already ordered these new jets because they can’t wait to offer faster flights to their customers.

This new plane will also be environmentally friendly because it will use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With the Overture, Boom Technology is aiming to make air travel faster, greener, and more exciting for everyone. The future of flying is looking super cool!
